FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- 01The assessments typically include the following components: • Send an enquiry (https://www.ihealthhub.au/contact-us)to our team • We will contact you to discuss the assessment, obtain additional information and provide a formal quote • Collate relevant documentation that is relevant for the assessment. This will vary depending on the type of evaluation. Examples include medical reports, referrals, academic reports, NAPLAN results, and any other allied health or medical reports of potential relevance. On the day of the evaluation: Please allocate 3 hours for the clinical interview and assessment. If additional time or a subsequent appointment is required, we will discuss it on the day. Please take all medications as prescribed as you typically would. We also encourage you to consume adequate food prior to the evaluation and bring a health snack along with you. The day of the evaluation will be split into two parts: 1. Clinical Interview: The clinician will complete an interview with the individual being referred and/or other stakeholders in attendance, such as parents or formal support. The interview will be clinician-led and include a discussion around background information, medical/health history and current concerns. 2. Assessment Phase: This includes completing psychometric tasks relevant to the referring questions. What’s Next? • Review of Collateral information: Following the assessment, the clinician will review any collateral information provided and contact additional stakeholders as needed. • Report: The clinician will develop and provide the report within 4 weeks of completing the assessment, pending payment has been received. • Feedback session (optional): Following the assessment, we provide the option for a feedback session to review the report in detail, including discussing findings, potential diagnoses, personalised recommendations, and answering any questions.
- 02We have several options available, including: • In-clinic: We have various clinic rooms available that can be utilised across Australia. • Home Appointments: We are an outreach service and can provide evaluations in the comfort of your home. • Correctional Centres • Medical Clinics or other suitable private locations Please send us an enquiry,(https://www.ihealthhub.au/contact-us) and we can explore the most suitable option.
- 03Typically, yes! However, please speak to your clinician prior to your appointment regarding medication, as some medications may impact test performance.
- 04We encourage you to bring the following on the day of your assessment: • Relevant Documentation: This will vary depending on the type of evaluation. Examples may include medical reports, referrals, academic reports, NAPLAN results, and any other allied health or medical reports of potential relevance. • Medication Chart and Medication (if prescribed) • Water and a healthy snack • Glasses/hearing aids or other mobility aids as needed • Support person, if preferred
- 05Payments can be made via direct debit. Please refer to your invoice for specific payment details. We require the full balance of the assessment before we can release the report.
- 06Cancellations made within two business days (48 hours) of the scheduled appointment, including no-shows on the day of the appointment, will incur a 50% cancellation fee (+ GST if relevant). Travel-related costs (if quoted) will also be incurred for cancellations on the day of the evaluation.
- 07You will receive your report within four weeks of completing your evaluation, pending payment has been received. This timeframe ensures that we have sufficient time to collect questionnaires, compile collateral information, and complete discussions with relevant stakeholders.
